Haverhill, MA - Coming off the most successful season in franchise history, the Jersey Hitmen have continued to grow as an organization winning the 3rd annual EJHL spring classic this past weekend. Posting a 4-0-1 record in the tournament the Hitmen compiled some pretty impressive stats scoring a tournament best, in the EJHL divison, 19 goals and firing 148 shots on net in the five games. The hitmen were lead by EJHL veteran Mike Dimare would scored 6 times in leading Jersey to the title. Since the tournaments inception in 2007 the Hitmen have gone on to win the 2008 & 2009 EJHL spring classics, 2007 EJHL summer classic, the 2008 & 2009 EJHL southern conference, 2008 EJHL league championship, and the 2008 & 2009 Gary Dineen Cup (EJHL playoff champions).

Hitmen Empire associate head coach, Mark Lotito, was behind the bench for the Hitmen victory and was very excited with the team's effort this weekend. "I am really proud at the way each and every one of these guys competed this weekend," commented coach Lotito. "There was great camaraderie amongst the forward lines, as each line chipped in offensively each day, and the defensive pairings really worked well together." Lotito went on to say, "our goaltending was fabulous and it was a pleasure coaching these guys. I really had a lot of fun this weekend."

The Hitmen will return to action on July 24th as they look to defend their spring championship in the 3rd annual EJHL summer classic.
