11 Hitmen to represent Atlantic District

The Jersey Hitmen organization is proud to announce that eleven players with ties to the organization have been chosen to participate in the Atlantic District player development program for the summer of 2009.

Defenseman Connor Clifton (’95), the Empire team’s youngest member, defenseman Luke Zocco (’94), and forward Noah Duguay (’94) will make their way down to Lawrenceville Prep in June when the district split its younger members into two groups. One group of will attend the USA Hockey Festival Camp, while the other will travel to Kent State University in Ohio to compete in a “mini festival”.

The Hitmen will also be represented well at the older levels. Forwards Michael Conte, and RJ Burns, along with goaltender Matt Morris will be representing the ’93 birth class as the USA Hockey Festival Camp, in Rochester, NY from June 26th-July 2nd.

Representing the Hitmen at the ’92 Festival will be University of Vermont recruit Colin Markison as well as Yale University recruit Charles Orzetti. One the blueline Nick Maniaci and Craig Wyszomirski will make the journey to Rochester. Also, joining them in New York will be goaltender Matt Braun. The ’92 Festival will be held from July 7th- July 13th.
