Hitmen All-Stars Shine Bright

The Jersey Hitmen Empire team was extremely well represented at the leagues annual All-Star event on this past Monday. All told 10 players and Coach Chris Barling made the trip to Hooksett, NH to represent both the Western Conference and the Hitmen organization. 6 players; Kyle Shapiro, Tommy Muratore, Connor Clifton, Luke Zocco, Michael Bronzo, and RJ Burns appeared in the futures game for the West. Despite falling 5-3 to the East the Hitmen boys represented themselves very well, especially Burns and Bronzo, who both collected a goal and an assist on the day.

In the main event the Western Conference would be victorious, due largely in part to the boys from Jersey. Entering the third period trailing 6-5 the Hitmen boys stepped up their games. Connor Leen would score two goals in the final frame to complete his hattrick, one of which would be the eventual game winner. Tim Clifton would assist on both of Leen’s third period tallies, and goaltender Matt Braun would post the only perfect period by a goaltender to lead the West to a 9-6 victory. Defenseman Michael Janson also had a solid all around game from the blueline.
