Preziosi and Morris honored by EJHL
Wayne, NJ - The Jersey Hitmen are pleased to announce that center, Chris Preziosi, and goaltender, Matt Morris, have been named EJHL offensive player and EJHL rookie of the week respectively. Both were very instrumental in the Hitmen's sweep of the Springfield Pics last weekend.
Lake Hiawatha, NJ native Chris Preziosi is a magician with the puck, and this weekend he showcased his puck moving skills. On Saturday, Preziosi notched 4 assists in the Hitmen's 8-3 victory, then came back on Sunday and added 1 goal and 1 assist for a 6 point weekend. The 6/27/90 birth date carries a 3.0 GPA and is the proud son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Preziosi.
With a 2.05 GAA in 16 games, rookie goaltender Matt Morris sits atop the EJHL in goaltending stats. This past weekend Morris was the backstop in the Hitmen's sweep of the Springfield Pics. On weekend Morris made 55 saves, and was just minutes away from recording his third shut-out of the season on Sunday when the Hitmen skated to a 7-1 victory. A Ridgewood, NJ native, Morris has already visited four division one campuses and is weighing his college options.
