Jersey Hitmen Premier Sweep CT Nighthawks

Wayne, NJ – After dropping their home opener on September 13, the Hitmen bounced back to beat the Nighthawks 4-1 and 5-1.  In Game One, goaltender Cole Mulholland backstopped the Hitmen to their first win of the season with a 20 save performance.  Mulholland, from Pompton Lakes NJ, was a standout with USP3 Hitmen team last season leading the team to the final four with a 1.99 GAA and a .937 SV%.  Coltin Craigo (1), Tristian Waechter (1), Austin Master (1) and Trevor Veneklase (1) all tallied for their first goals of the season.  Trevor Veneklase, from Brentwood TN, added 2 assists for a 3 point night. 
Trevor Osborne started and earned his first win of the season making 24 saves in Game Two.  Osborne from O’Fallon IL came to the Hitmen after a successful season with the Iowa Wild.  Trevor Veneklase (2,3) continued his hot play adding 2 goals, Tristian Waechter (2) and Alvari Rautiainen (1) and Christian Abel (1) scored their first goals of the season.
