Niagara Calls On Edgerton

Wayne, NJ - The Jersey Hitmen are extremely proud to announce the first ever NCDC league scholarship signing as forward, Luke Edgerton, has committed to Niagara University for the fall of 2018. A native of Wheeling, WV, Edgerton won the 2015 midget major national championship as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite. Edgerton, a speedy forward with skill and grit, has notched a 1-3-4 scoring line in five NCDC league games.

"We were very excited when Luke chose the Jersey Hitmen this summer," commented head coach, Toby Harris. "I knew that his game would shine in the NCDC, especially with our style of play, and that he would undoubtedly earn himself a division one deal. I did not know it would happen this quickly though..." Harris continued, "its a tribute to how hard, Luke, worked in the off season, and how quickly he started this year. We are very excited to see what the future holds for him."

At 5'9, 172lbs, Edgerton's strongest asset is his skating ability and relentless puck pursuit. He will be a nightmare for Atlantic hockey defenseman next season when he joins Niagara.
