Jersey Hitmen Premier: Paiotti's Hat Trick leads Hitmen past the New York Aviators for their 10th Straight Win

Wayne, NJ - The Hitmen beat conference rival New York Aviators in a high, action-packed 6-4 victory for their 10th straight win.  Andrew Dreher (5) opened the scoring followed by Mathew Paiotti (2) and a power play goal from Zach Wilson (2) to give the Hitmen a 3-2 first period lead.  The Aviators tied it up at 3-3 in the 2nd but the Hitmen responded with two unanswered goals from Paiotti (3) and a power play goal from Abel Christians (7) to give the Hitmen a 5-3 lead heading into the 3rd period.  The Aviators came out hungry in the 3rd scoring in the first minute of play to make it a one goal game.  With the Aviators on the power play Matthew Piaotti (4) created a turnover and scored his 3rd of the night on a breakaway giving the Hitmen a 6-4 lead.  The Hitmen killed a 6 versus 3 power play with a minute left in play to secure the victory.  Paiotti from Oakland NJ, had one goal heading into the game before scoring his hat trick.  Paiotti has moved up through the ranks of the Hitmen organization where he was a standout for the Hitmen USP3 team last season.  Starter Trevor Osborne made 33 saves for his 5th win of the season and defenseman Braden Ploehn added 2 assists.

Head Coach Dan Henningson on the win: "It was a great win for us; the Aviators are a good team and we needed a balanced attack and that's what we got.   We were not sharp at the beginning of the game and Ozzy (Osborne) made some great saves to keep us in it until we found our legs.  Paiotti was outstanding for us.  He was great on the penalty kill, blocking shots and creating energy throughout the entire game.  It's nice to see him get rewarded for his hard work."
