Hitmen 16U Go 7-0 Winning The Boston Junior Bruin Shootout

The Hitmen 16U team capped off an outstanding weekend in Marlborough, MA going 7-0 and winning the Boston Junior Bruin Shootout Championship with a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes as forward Marty Kopoian scored the game winner with 0:18 seconds left in regulation. The Hitmen 16U, who are now 24-5-1 in their first 30 games, beat the Boston Advantage Split Season team 4-1 in the opening contest of the tournament. They followed with wins against the Rochester Jr. Americans 10-4 and Buffalo Saints 8-4 before beating Rochester again 5-1 in the play-in game to win their division and advance to the quarterfinals. The Hitmen 16U team would go on to beat a strong Boston Advantage Full season team 2-0 in the quarterfinal game setting up a tough contest with USPHL rival the Syracuse Nationals in the semi-final game. The Hitmen 16U team and Syracuse battled back and forth both scoring power play goals before forward Thomas Foschini buried the game winner. Dakota Concannon put the icing on the cake scoring the empty netter with a minute left in the game launching them into the Championship and winning the tournament in Hitmen fashion. Hitmen 16U Go 7-0 Winning The Boston Junior Bruin Shootout
