Hitmen 18U sends 6 to USPHL All-Star event

On Monday, January 19th Merrimack College in Andover, MA will play host to the 2014-2015 USPHL 18U All-Star Game. The 18U Jersey Hitmen currently sit atop the league lead and the All-Star game will give 6 of their players an opportunity to showcase their individual talents.

At forward, the Hitmen will be sending 3 of their lead snipers including Robert Clerc who is tied for the league lead in goals with 14 and is 9th overall in scoring.  Alternate Captain Alex Whelan (Quinnipiac ’16) will be making his second USPHL All-Star appearance after being named 2013-2014 16U Player of the Year. Dylan Stephanik in among the top 20 scorers in the league by tallying a point a game. This year the Hitmen have yielded a goals against average of only 1.68 due in large part to its strong defensive play. Representing the Hitmen D will be James Callahan (Quinnipiac ‘16) and Kyle Hallbauer, the team +/- leader who will be making his second USPHL All-Star appearance. In goal, the Hitmen will send another 2 time All-Star, Tyler Harmon, whose 92.4 save percentage is a huge factor in the team’s success.
