Wayne, NJ - The USPHL Premier all-star games will take place on Monday January 19th at Merrimack College beginning at 12pm. Game one, will begin at 12:15pm immediately followed by game two. The USPHL voted to expand the annual all-star day to further showcase the top level talent in the #1 Jr. A league in the east.

The Hitmen will be very well represented sending 13 players off of this seasons USPHL premier roster. Up front, the Hitmen will be sending 5 of the top 20 scorers in the league. Leading the way is captain, Michael Laffin (USPHL top scorer/Holy Cross '15), Patrick Schule (2nd leading scorer/Northeastern '15), Conor O'Neil (4th/University of Vermont '15), Josh Henke (12th/Lake Superior State '15), Eric Brenk (14th). Along with that firepower, the Hitmen also had line mates, James Martello (13 USPHL goals, two year USPHL all-star) and Matt Volonnino (7 power play goals - good for #1 in the USPHL) voted in.

On the back end, the Hitmen will send four defenseman, including the #2 and #3 leading defensive scorers in the league, Cameron Heath (Canisius '15) and Connor Brassard. Colorado College '15 recruit, Ben Israel, and highly touted '96 defenseman, Joe Kinsella round out the defensive core.

In goal, the Hitmen will send both net minders, Chris Funkey (#1 in USPHL league wins (18) and goals against average (2.0)) and Swedish sensation, Ebbe Sionas. This is Funkey's third straight all-star selection and Sionas has been a stonewall this season only losing 1 game.
