Raleigh, NC- The US Premier Hockey League is proud to announce that Jersey Hitmen alum Brett Pesce has signed an entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes.
The defenseman played for the Hitmen in the 2011-12 season, posting a goal and five assists in 17 games. He also appeared in six games with the US National Development Program before his season ended due to injury.
The Tarrytown, NY, native then suited up for University of New Hamsphire, and placed second among UNH defensemen in scoring with 16 points (3 goals, 13 assists). He completes his collegiate career with 43 points (11 goals, 32 assists) in 109 career games.
The Hurricanes selected Pesce in the third round (66th overall) in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
