The Hitmen swept the Pics this weekend, winning 11-0 and 6-3. The sweep keeps the Hitmen in first place in the USP3 North Division (28-7-2, 58 points).
Zack Briscoe recorded a hat trick, Adam Carlo scored twice and Chris Dressler added four points to lead the Hitmen to an 11-0 romp on Saturday. John Pitera made 31 saves for the shutout win. The Hitmen got off to a quick start and never looked back as they led 6-0 after the first period of play. The line of Eddie Leitgeb, Thomas Foschini and Chris Dressler continue to be a dominant force for the Hitmen.

Braden Ploehn continues to shine on defense and was named the USP3 Defenseman of the Week (5 points in two games, including the game winner on Sunday). The entire defensive unit has been solid all season as the Hitmen have only yielded 89 goals in 37 games, the lowest amount of goals allowed in the entire league.

On Sunday, the Hitmen defeated the Pics 6-3 as David Kasabian paced the boys with three points. Anthony and Frank Steffe combined for three points, as Anthony scored a timely goal to get the Hitmen on track. Pitera made 10 saves for the victory.

The Hitmen travel to Frederick this weekend for a three game set.
