The Jersey Hitmen Elite is pleased to announce that Hitmen forward Ian Bernes earns USPHL forward of the week.  This is Ian's second award this season. In 36 games, Ian has 23 goals (9th in the USPHL) and 15 assists for 38 points.  Ian is currently on a 7-game scoring streak scoring 9 goals with 15 points.  The Hitmen are 6-1 in that span.

Head coach Dan Henningson on Ian Bernes, "Ian is a dynamic forward that is playing with all the confidence in the world.  There's not too many guys in the league that are as fast and skilled as Ian.  What makes him dangerous is that he's capable of making plays at full speed. He's catching fire at just the right time heading into playoffs."

The Hitmen went 3-1 at the South Shore Showcase where they swept the Bay St. Breakers and beat the Rochester Jr. Americans.  The Hitmen will look to continue their strong play when they host the South Shore Kings for their final two regular season games.  The Hitmen are 1-1 in their season series against the Kings.
