Nick had an outstanding year this season, where he was amongst the league leaders in all categories with a 1.94 GAA, .939 SV% and 2 shutouts. Nick spent two years with the Hitmen Elite and started with our 18U team 4 years ago.
Head Coach Dan Henningson comments, “Nick was our MVP this year and his work ethic, competitiveness and leadership will be a huge asset for Cortland’s program. What makes Nick special as a goalie is his hockey IQ. He understands the tendencies of goal scorers and is able to read the play and not just react. Nick will have a great career and we wish him all the best.”
Cortland University plays out of the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNY) and is led by head coach Joe Cardarelli. Cortland competes against Plattsburgh, Buffalo St, Geneseo, Oswego, Brockport, Potsdam, Fredonia and Morrisville.
