Wayne NJ – The Jersey Hitmen organization is proud to announce that Captain Devon Palmieri ’95, from Montvale, NJ has committed to Stony Brook University in the ACHA Division 1 for the fall of 2016.

Devon was with the Hitmen for the past three seasons starting with the USP3 team before moving up to Elite.  In the 2014/15 season, Devon led the Elite team in goals with 24 and contributed 10 assists.  Devon worked hard at his game to be an all-round player.  In his second year he was named captain by his peers and became a player that was relied on in all situations.  Devon finished the 2015/16 season with 11 goals and 13 assists.

Head Coach Dan Henningson comments, “Devon is a workhorse; he’s the first one on the ice and the last guy off at every practice.  Devon will add skill, leadership with a relentless work ethic to the Seawolves.   Stony Brook is getting a leader and an extremely dedicated individual.  I couldn’t be happier for Devon and his family and I know he will have a great career at SBU!”

Stony Brook is a public university located in Stony Brook, New York.  Stony Brook plays out of the American Collegiate Hockey Association where they compete against Lebanon Valley, Delaware, Rutgers, Rhode Island and West Chester.  The Seawolves are led by head coach Chris Garofalo.
