Wayne, NJ - The Jersey Hitmen are proud to announce that forward, Luke Novak, has committed to the University of Notre Dame for the fall of 2016. The Sussex, Wisconsin native had an outstanding season for the Hitmen racking up 58 points (16-42-58) in 51 games, good for 4th in team scoring.  At 6'0 and 186lbs, Novak, is a smooth skating, offensive dynamo.

"I am so excited for Luke," commented head coach Toby Harris. "The Fighting Irish are getting a tireless worker & top notch character kid in Luke. Every day, prior to practice, Luke and a handful of premier players would jump out on the ice early, in their sweats, and work on the intricacies of the game.  This, coupled with his attention to detail, both on the ice and in our off ice training program, helped him attain his childhood dream."  Harris continued, "Luke is an extremely well rounded player. He skates very well. Shoots it hard and has great vision. From day one, the Notre Dame staff will be very impressed with Luke's versatility and selflessness." Novak will join former Hitmen forward, Ali Thomas, on the Fighting Irish roster.

A member of Hockey East, the University of Notre Dame is located in South Bend, Indiana.
