12U Minors returned to league play this weekend with a big 10-3 win over the NJ Rockets.  These two teams met up at the PAL showcase 3 weeks ago with the Rockets winning in 3 on 3 OT.  The Hitmen got on the board quickly with a beautiful breakaway goal by Michael Brogna.  Brogna went forehand, then backhand to lift the puck over the Rockets goalie.  That quick goal set the tempo as the boys took a 4-1 lead into the half.  The second half started much like the first with a quick strike goal from Matthew Bossolina off assists from Jack Rueff and Tristan Davison.  The line of Ty Oller (3 goals), Erik Bjornson (1 goal, 2 assists) and Dean Toskos (1 goal, 2 assists) dictated the play thought out the game.  Although the score was 10-3, the shots were fairly even and Noemi Martinez made 27 saves for the win.   The 05’s currently stand at 16-9-2 with 3 of those losses coming in overtime.   Up next is a big Thanksgiving weekend Super Series tournament in Stamford, CT.
