As the USPHL begins to change the landscape of Junior Hockey in North America with the creation of the NCDC, a tuition free division of the USPHL who’s goal is to develop players for NCAA D1 schools the excitement can be felt through out the league. No organization is more excited than The Richmond Generals as we announce today that we have entered into an affiliation agreement with the NCDC Jersey Hitmen for the 2017/2018 USPHL season.

Brad Robinson the Generals President and GM had this to say about his team’s new relationship with the Hitmen, “I am very excited for our organization to be affiliated with the Jersey Hitmen.  The Hitmen have always been a hockey powerhouse both on the ice and in D1 college commitments. This affiliation will provide a great pipeline of opportunity for our players."

Generals head coach R.C. Lyke has a long and personal history of working with the coaches and executives from the Hitmen organization that goes back 20 years as he explained by offering, “ I am very excited to be working with the Jersey Hitmen of the NCDC. As a player I played for Bill Thompson ( U16AAA Coach ) and Jim Hunt ( President / Director of Player Development )  who were both my youth AAA and Junior B coaches respectively. I have had a  strong working relationship with Toby Harris ( GM / Head Coach Premier ) for many years now and look forward to building on that relationship moving forward.”

Jersey Hitmen Coach and GM Toby Harris and Coach Lyke share a common vision when it comes to developing players and Coach Harris had this to say about the NJ/Richmond connection, "With the Hitmen we have always believed that developing your players leads to success in winning games . That is something the Richmond Generals have done very well for a long time now. They have developed their players, won hockey games , and moved a ton of guys on to the next level of Junior hockey and College hockey. We look forward to having a long successful relationship with R.C. and the Generals Program. “
