18U Hitmen Split with the PAL Islanders

On Saturday the 18U Hitmen lost to the PAL Islanders by a score of 6-4 with a late surge of third period goals by Gordon, B. Schneider and Schweighardt. The late game momentum carried over to Sunday as the 18U’s had a bounce back 5-0 victory. Highlights included goals from Defares, Atkinson, B. Schneider and two by Grieco. Big hits from LaMacchia and excellent goaltending from Werber making 38 saves to preserve the shutout. Schweighardt, McLinskey and Frassetto each dished out two assists as well. The 18U Hitmen have three road games this weekend, Jersey Shore Whalers Friday and two in Northwood Saturday and Sunday.
