Wayne, NJ –  On Saturday, October 13, the Jersey Hitmen beat the Syracuse Stars by a score of 5-3, despite being down 2-0 in the first 4 minutes of the first period.  The Hitmen quickly responded scoring three unanswered goals, first from Nick Davidow (2) and then Robbie Sheehan (6) scored back to back goals for his 5th and 6th of the season.  The Hitmen would hang on to the lead for the 5-3 win.   Connor Bizal (6) added the game winning goal and Anton Nigay (2) would add the insurance.  Starter Cole Mulholland was stellar in net making 29 saves for his 3rd win of the season.

The Hitmen fell short 3-2 in Game 2.  Chris Foley made his first start for the Jersey Hitmen making 23 saves.  Thomas Lamacchia (2)  tied the game up at one a piece and Josh Mead (9) added a short handed marker for his team-leading 9thgoal of the season.

Head coach Dan Henningson on the weekend split, “It was nice to get a comeback win under our belt on Saturday night.  Going down two goals on the first 2 shots and coming out of the first period with the lead was a positive sign.  Cole was solid in net for us, giving us some timely saves and I thought it was his best performance thus far in the year.  Sunday was disappointing because I felt Syracuse outworked us and found a way to win whereas we found a way to lose with three power play goals against.”
