Wayne NJ – The Hitmen beat the NJ Rockets Saturday night with a 5-3 win. The win gave the Hitmen their 4th straight win, improving their record to 9-7-1. The Hitmen travelled to Rochester last weekend to face the Monarchs winning both games by the same score of 5-2.
In game one vs. the Rochester Monarchs, Captain Matthew Paiotti (3) lead the way scoring two goals with Assistant Captain Thomas Lamacchia (3), Ryan Gamber (2) and Josh Mead (12) all scoring for the Hitmen in a 5-2 victory. Forward Anton Nigay added 3 assists and starting goalie Cole Mulholland made 20 saves for his 4th win of the season.
Chris Foley earned his first win of the season turning aside 30 saves in a 5-2 victory for the weekend sweep vs. the Monarchs. Anton Nigay (3), Ian Denning (1), Connor Bizal (8), Thomas Lamacchia and Robbie Sheehan (7) all tallied for the Hitmen. Artem Buzoverya chipped in 3 assists giving him 4 points for the weekend.
The Hitmen found some secondary scoring vs. the NJ Rockets as five different scorers scored for the Hitmen in a 5-3 victory. Robbie Sheehan (8), Toivo Kramer (3), Egor Nosov (2), Anton Nigay (4) and Thomas Lamacchia (5) all scored while Ryan Malota and Tadeas Pejchal each added 2 assists. Starter Trevor Stenberg made 34 saves for his 4th win of the season improving his record to 4-2.
