Wayne NJ – The Hitmen swept the Syracuse stars winning 5-2 Saturday night and 2-0 Sunday, extending their winning streak to 6 games.  Captain Matthew Paiotti lead the way scoring on the first shift and the eventual game winning goal.  Defenseman Ryan Malota (1) scored his first of the season in his 3rd game since returning from major knee surgery.  Artem Buzoverya (6) scored the games 4th goal and his 6th of the season and Egor Nosov (3) added the empty netter.  Starter Cole Mulholland was solid in net making 28 saves for his 5th win of the season.

Trevor Stenberg lead the way with his 1st shutout of the season and 5th win in a 2-0 victory.  Toivo Kramer (4) opened the game connecting on a one-timer feed from linemmate Tadeas Pejchal.  Steberg would hold the one to nothing lead until Captain Matthew Paiotti scored late in the 3rd to seal the weekend sweep!

Head coach Dan Henningson on the weekend “Our goaltending was solid this weekend and penalty kill was excellent.  I don’t think we very good throughout the weekend, but we were able to capitalize when we needed to and our PK and goaltending were able to keep Syracuse from gaining any momentum.”
