Jersey Hitmen Premier: Forward Josh Mead Makes NCAA Commitment

Wayne NJ – The Jersey Hitmen are proud to announce that Josh Mead has committed to Lawrence University for the fall of 2019.  Mead ’99 from Sparta, New Jersey returned for his 2nd  season with the Hitmen and has become one of the most dynamic forwards in the United States Premier League.  In 34 games this season, Mead has 17 goals and 23 assists for 40 points surpassing his totals from last season by 28 points.  Josh will join former teammate and leading scorer from last year’s team Charles Stewart on the Lawrence Vikings roster.

 

Head coach Dan Henningson on Josh Mead’s commitment, “Josh and I set goals in the offseason about the importance of conditioning in order to increase his point productivity.  Josh always had the talent but is now able to play with pace through the course of a full game.  I am happy to see his hard work pay off.  He’s the type of player that makes his teammates around him better.” 

 

The Lawrence Vikings compete in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association and are lead by head coach Mike Szkodzinski.  Lawrence University is located in Appleton, Wisconsin.
